Founded in 1978, CEPEMAR has established itself as a reference in the socio-environmental market, becoming a leader and pioneer in Brazil in Environmental Engineering and Consulting, with extensive activity in coastal and oceanographic data collection, monitoring of effluents, rivers, lagoons, coastal and oceanic regions, standing out for its expertise in integrated environmental solutions and technical research (surveys).
In 1998, Citágua - Águas de Cachoeiro SA, a private company, at the time composed of Grupo Águia Branca and Grupo CEPEMAR, won the public tender for the concession of water supply and sewage services in the municipality of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, providing activities of water collection, treatment and distribution, sewage collection and treatment, operation, conservation, maintenance, expansion and direct billing to customers for the services. The company became the only private operator in the state of Espírito Santo.
In addition to its strong national presence, where it maintains a robust network of operations and partnerships with universities, specialists, masters and doctors — with whom it develops joint projects — CEPEMAR also carries out international operations in countries such as the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Panama, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay, as well as in the Middle East, in places such as Oman, Dubai and Bahrain.
Throughout its history, CEPEMAR has delivered more than 2,000 environmental solutions in several strategic sectors of the economy, including: Infrastructure (ports, airports, highways and railways), Mining and Steel, Telecommunications, Paper and Pulp, Oil and Gas and Energy (generation and transmission).
Daniel Lucas Engenharia was founded in 2002, focusing on the development of studies and projects for sanitation, sanitary infrastructure and storm drainage. Over the years, it has established itself as a reference company in the sector, participating in complete solutions for sewage systems, water supply and storm drainage in subdivisions, condominiums and large developments.
With solid growth, supported by a highly qualified team, the company expanded its operations through strategic contracts with sanitation concessionaires and city governments in the states of Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. This extensive experience has provided an excellent relationship with regulatory agencies, such as CESAN, COPASA, SAAEs, City Governments, FUNASA, IEMA, IDAF, CILSJ and DER, significantly facilitating the approval and execution of projects with agility and efficiency.
The company's technical expertise was also strengthened by the direct involvement of its founder, Daniel Lucas, in the Águas Limpas Project, recognized as the largest sanitation program in the history of Espírito Santo. Between 2005 and 2013, Daniel worked as an engineer in the design and planning areas at Enger Engenharia (later acquired by the SGS Group), leading initiatives that benefited approximately 1.33 million people in the municipalities of the Greater Vitória Metropolitan Region. This experience provided him with in-depth technical and strategic knowledge in the management of large-scale projects.
Faced with the new challenges imposed by the New Legal Framework for Sanitation, the CEPEMAR Group and DL Engenharia joined their expertise, creating CEPESAN – Sanitation Engineering Research Center, which offers the market specialized services and consultancy, with advanced technological solutions in sanitation engineering.
